I liked it. I didn't love it, but I certainly enjoyed reading it. I *did* find myself skimming through some of the chapters so I could get back to the characters that interested me more. Which is probably my biggest complaint about the book--it was a little hard to get into a rhythm with the story when the author switched narrators/perspectives.
I completely agree, Rob. It wasn't my favorite book because it felt a little disjointed with each chapter. Just as you were getting somewhere with a character, he jumps somewhere else with the story. I haven't finished and to be honest, I'm not sure I will. It just didn't hold me.
I also didn't love it. I wanted to. I really liked the first story. But, I felt like he jumped around too much. I never felt a connection to any of the characters. I also think he brought too many random symbols into the story. I did finish it, but I found myself feeling like it was a chore. I'm not sorry I read it - but I wouldn't characterize it as a favorite.
I like the book. It certainly didn't capture my attention to the point where I couldn't put it down but I enjoyed it. Good selection Rob.
I haven't gotten a chance to finish the book yet, but I like it so far! Will post comments after I've got the end. Good choice, Rob!
